Brian C. Benicewicz, Ph.D.

Dr. Benicewicz is a USC Education Foundation Distinguished Professor and the CoEE Endowed Chair in Polymer Nanocomposites in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina. His specializations and research interests include polymer-organic chemistry, new monomer and polymer synthesis, polymer nanocomposites, polymer membranes for fuel cells, electrically conducting polymers, liquid crystalline polymers, and controlled radical polymerization.  Dr. Benicewicz received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and his B.S. from the Florida Institute of Technology.
