Dr. Arash Kheradvar is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of South Carolina. He was recently named a recipient of the 2011-2012 Career Development Award from the Leducq Foundation as a senior investigator. Dr. Kheradvar received the award based on his research entitled “Flow through the Right Heart after Repair of Tetralogy of Fallot: anImage-Based Modeling Approach.” His Research Interests include Cardiovascular Imaging, Modeling Congenital Heart Disease, Heart Valve & Stent Engineering, Technologies for Minimally Invasive Procedures, Cardiac Mechanics & Biofluid Dynamics, and Artificial Organs. Dr. Kheradvar received his M.D. from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. He received his PhD. in Bioengineering from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California.
