Implantation Success as Determined by Blastocoel Fluid Components

Description:

Reference #: 01340

The University of South Carolina is offering licensing opportunities for Implantation Success as Determined by Blastocoel Fluid Components.

Background:

Currently, embryos are assessed solely for chromosomal status (euploid or aneuploid) following IVF. Only those embryos determined to be euploid are then subsequently transferred. However, not all euploid embryos transferred will successfully implant or develop full-term.

Invention Description:

Analysis of the contents within the blastocoel cavity (i.e. blastocoel fluid) of embryos can provide a molecular signature that identifies which embryos are capable of successfully implanting.

Advantages and Benefits:

This invention simplifies the PGT-A process while increasing efficiency and accuracy for identifying the single best embryo to transfer.
