Mohammod Ali, PhD. Dept. of Electrical Engineering University of South Carolina Dr. Ali is an Associate Professor with the Deptartment of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. His specializations and research interests include platform integrated antenna design for handheld terminals; engineered materials (metamaterials) and their antenna applications; reconfigurable, broadband and multiband antennas; rectifying antennas (rectenna) for wireless sensors; power system monitoring and reconfiguration using distributed wireless sensors; electromagnetic energy deposition on humans from low power transmitters; and low loss microwave components and circuits. Dr. Ali graduated with a PhD., in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria, BC, Canada, in 1997.
